Googles fiber network experiment

Sounds like Google is finally doing something with all that dark fiber they have been buying up over the past 10 years. Internet speed in the U.S. is quite slower then other countries, this could potentially propel us to the top. I need this!

Facebook releases HipHop for PHP as opensource.

“HipHop for PHP isn’t technically a compiler itself. Rather it is a source code transformer. HipHop programmatically transforms your PHP source code into highly optimized C++ and then uses g++ to compile it.”
